    Job Description

    Overview of the Role:

    Provide the primary care to patients; acting as an assistant to Physicians in the clinic following established standards and practices.

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients

    • Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed

    • Perform complete physical exams and record findings

    • Collaborate with physician in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients

    • Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures

    • Synthesize data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention

    • Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention; recommend community resources to meet patient needs

    • Educate patients and family regarding healthcare concerns & problems, office & hospital procedures, medications, testing, treatment instructions etc.

    • Triage patient calls and provide consultation

    • Manage medical and surgical procedures/emergencies

    • Provide monitoring and continuity of care between patient visits

    • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations

    • Cooperate and interact with team members and coworkers

    • Maintain patient flow, a safe environment for patients and others, and patient confidentiality

    • Follow HIPAA guidelines

    • Other duties as required

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3+ Years of Professional Nursing Experience in a Clinical Setting

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective, working relationships

    • Ability to handle oneself in a professional manner

    • Adheres to policies and procedures
