Job Summary

5 Star Medical Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. The RN will provide coordinated, compassionate care in a high-acuity ER environment. This position requires critical thinking, leadership, and a commitment to patient safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process.

· Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals or groups of patients.

· Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

· Create a safe, healing environment for patients and families.

· Participate in discharge planning and patient education.

· Supervise and delegate tasks to other members of the healthcare team.

· Perform job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Licensure: Active RN license in California

· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience required (3+ years preferred)

· Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

· Certifications (Required):

· - Basic Life Support (BLS)

· - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

· - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Additional Information

· Must be compliant with all vaccination requirements per facility and agency policies.

· Acute care hospital experience strongly preferred.

· 36-hour weekly schedule with possible 48-hour weeks.
