Position:

The endoscopy technician, CST, is responsible for assisting the physician in the operating room/endoscopy services under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

A Surgical Technician may perform any of the following duties to prepare the room and the patient for the surgical procedure:

• Setting up the instruments and equipment required for the surgery
• Sterilizing equipment and taking an inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery
• Preparing the patient for surgery
• Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation
• Taking a count of all surgical instruments and supplies before the operation
• Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation
• Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery

Qualifications and Skills For This Position:

• Licenses/Certifications: CST certificate

• Candidates must have at least one year of on-the-job CST experience, ideally experience in these specialties: general, pain, ortho, spine, plastics, bariatrics, ENT, sports medicine, robotics.

• Possess a professional and friendly personality, and enjoy working with people of all ages. In addition, candidates must demonstrate strong organization, self-motivation, and multi-tasking abilities.
