Nursing Director – Emergency Department

Lead Emergency Care. Inspire Nursing Excellence.

We are looking for an experienced Nursing Director to lead Emergency Department nursing operations and help drive exceptional patient care, team development, quality, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily nursing operations, staffing, and resource management

Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain nursing staff

Drive patient safety, quality, and patient satisfaction

Develop and manage department budgets and financial performance

Ensure compliance with Joint Commission/JCAHO, regulatory, and licensing standards

Partner with physicians and multidisciplinary leaders to improve patient care

Support strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives

Promote professional growth and a culture of excellence

Qualifications

Master’s Degree required in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field One of the degrees must be in Nursing

Current Michigan RN License

5+ years of clinical and/or progressive nursing management experience

Specialty nursing certification preferred; certification required within one year of hire
