Leading Westchester hospital seek a Nursing Supervisor to provide leadership and support to the nursing staff during the night shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Working collaboratively with leadership, the Supervisor provides clinical guidance, promotes effective communication, and helps the unit achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, evidence-based patient care in alignment with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best nursing practices.
- Provide clinical leadership and support, including serving as a resource, mentoring staff, and participating directly in patient care as needed.
- Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives, using measurable goals and outcomes to improve clinical practice and unit operations.
- Promote effective interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, staff, patients, families, and other departments to optimize care delivery.
- Maintain a safe care environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Model professionalism and accountability, supporting organizational initiatives, resolving conflicts, and fostering a culture of excellent patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- A minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Charge experience preferred
