    NOTE: This role is 100% remote anywhere in the world.

    We are actively looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our client on building the next “Dota Auto Chess”-like mobile game. This role will be helping define the foundation of a brand new game from scratch by leading the architecture of their backend services. The team is small and scaling with some of the best names in the industry like Eric Lang (Game Designer), David ‘Volty’ Abecassis (Game Director), and other amazing folks!

    What is the core responsibility of the position?

    • Development of mobile free-to-play games from concept to ship to live operations.

    • Development and fine tuning of new and existing features and pipelines.

    • Cooperate and support other programmers and be part of a multidisciplinary team.

    • Assess features feasibility by evaluating its cost and benefit.

    • Write robust, optimized and maintainable code.

    • Writing technical design documents, for milestones and internal use.

    What are the minimum requirements?

    • 5+ years of experience in game development

    • 2+ years of experience architecting mobile games (client-side and server-side)

    • Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine 4

    • Multiple titles under your belt. You understand how to ship products.

    What helps you get bonus points?

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field.

    • Experience with iOS and Android development.

    • Experience with mobile frameworks or social networks APIs/SDKs.

    • Experience in multiplayer / netcode.

    • Experience in AI programming.

    • Free to play market knowledge and game design concepts
