  • Responsibilities

    Our client is looking for an Associate Attorney to join their Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation Practice in Boise, ID.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings: The attorney is responsible for guiding clients through the bankruptcy process, including filing petitions, negotiating with creditors, and representing clients in court proceedings.
    • Advising clients on bankruptcy and insolvency issues: The attorney must have a thorough understanding of bankruptcy and insolvency law and advise clients on how to navigate these complex legal issues.
    • Handling commercial litigation matters: The attorney is responsible for representing clients in a range of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract disputes, fraud claims, and other business disputes.
    • Conducting legal research and analysis: The attorney must have a deep understanding of bankruptcy and commercial litigation law and be able to conduct legal research and analysis to develop legal strategies that best serve their clients' interests.
    • Negotiating settlements and agreements: The attorney must be skilled in negotiating with opposing parties to reach favorable settlements or agreements for their clients.
    • Communicating with clients: The attorney must keep clients informed about the progress of their cases, advise them of their legal options, and ensure that their clients' interests are protected at all times.
    • Upholding ethical standards: The attorney must adhere to ethical standards set forth by the legal profession and ensure that they are acting in the best interests of their clients at all times. 

    What are the minimum requirements for the job?

    • Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in bankruptcy and commercial litigation.
    • Top tier education within the top 50% of their class.
    • Experience winning cases that go to trial.
    • Experience from a top 200 am law firm.
    • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
