100% Remote, Hack & Slash RPG Studio
Our client is looking for a Senior Character Artist obsessed with developing new characters for combat-focused games! Our client’s recent title is all over ArtStation and is aesthetically IMPRESSIVE! Art is a big deal and a huge draw to the next series of unannounced RPG-focused projects.
This studio is open to 100% remote. However, for those that want to go onsite, they have an amazing office in Toronto, Canada.
What are the responsibilities of the position?
Create exquisite high poly models of characters, creatures, vehicles, equipment, and props
Creation of game ready meshes with efficient UV layouts
Authoring thoughtful textures and materials
Actively collaborate and communicate with other departments
Importing optimized assets to engine and maintaining them through iteration
Help refine character creation pipeline to find efficiencies and maximize quality
What are the minimum qualifications?
Character Artist with 8+ years experience in the games industry
Shipped at least one character-focused game
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent 3D art skills (3D modeling, texturing, composition)
Relevant Software Knowledge of 3ds Max/Maya, Zbrush, Substance Suite, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop.
Familiarity of PBR materials, Texture mapping, character rigging fundamentals, and cloth simulation.
