    Senior Water Resources Engineer

    Hybrid in Nashville or Knoxville TN

    Our client is currently seeking applications for the position of Senior Water Resources Engineer (Storm Water Engineer). In this role, you will be involved in various site investigations and assessments under the guidance of project managers and senior staff. The position is open to being based out of any of our Tennessee offices, and relocation assistance is available for suitable candidates.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects that support MS4 permittees. These projects will encompass tasks related to permit/regulatory compliance, MS4 permit implementation and policy, and initiatives aimed at achieving compliance with the six minimum control measures outlined by MS4 regulations. Familiarity with developing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and Spill Control and Countermeasure Plans is essential.     Responsibilities:

    \- Leading the scoping and management of projects valued up to $1M.

    \- Preparation of MS4 Annual Reports and associated documentation to demonstrate permit compliance.

    \- Identification of areas of concern regarding permit implementation and scoping projects to facilitate compliance with the six minimum measures of MS4.

    \- Design and execution of stream mitigation projects in areas affected by stormwater impacts.

    \- Providing environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists and collaborating with the Client/Program Manager to identify and execute stormwater projects, and develop internal client guidance for permit compliance.

    \- Leading the development of technical reports.

    \- Effectively communicating technical requirements and positions to clients and personnel to develop a compliant and effective MS4 program governing client activities and operations.

    Qualifications:

    \- Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering program.

    \- PE license required in the state of TN or ability to transfer PE to TN.

    \- Certified erosion and sedimentation control specialist (CPESC) in the state of TN.

    \- 15+ years of experience in stormwater engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in direct MS4 support and planning.

    \- Experience managing projects valued at $100K or more.

    \- HAZWOPER training and certification.

    \- Proficiency in Microsoft program products.

    \- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    \- Ability to oversee and delegate work effectively.

    \- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

    \- Strong work ethic.

    \- Overnight travel required (40-50% Travel).
