We are actively looking for a Senior Technical Artist for a AAA project focused on environments, node-based material editors in UE4, and dealing with procedural assets. This role will be working on an Action Packed RPG.
What are the responsibilities?
Work with engineers and artists to analyze and refactor content for performance
Prototype and develop efficient and creative solutions in an existing content base
Develop tools and workflow improvements
Mentor artists on best practices
Mediate/Guide overall visual quality and performance across all platforms
Provide Detailed Performance Reports of internal projects across all platforms
All other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have a mix of the qualifications below:
Strong communication and proven ability to work with others to develop and iterate on features
Experience with various software packages such as 3DsMax, Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance, Houdini
Demonstrated ability to provide support, training, and documentation for art teams
Scripting or shader programming experience is a plus
Proficient with node-based material editor, such as UE4's
Experience with PIX or other GPU capture tools
Cross-platform development experience (XB1/PS4 preferred)
Experience working with and gathering spreadsheets, data sets and charts to analyze data to drive profile-based action
Experience in Unreal Engine 4
