What’s the purpose of this role?
In this position, you will be directing the company's approach to content classification. The Product Policy Lead will work across content verticals ranging from misinformation and hate speech to crime, violence, and disasters. This individual will help develop policy positions and write policies for information classification across content verticals and train labeling teams on product policy and communicate policy concepts. We are looking for someone who can understand and research public opinions and advertiser perspectives to be able to inform policy creation and policy adjustments. This individual should have knowledge of or interest in internet policy issues and media regulatory issues and/or the law.
The ideal candidate is autodidact, technical and detail-oriented, and has product management experience. Communication, organizational, and great analytical skills are also critical for this role.

Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
3+ Years experience in media regulatory issues: Content policy, regulation of user-generated content, or media policy
Organized with rigorous attention to detail, drive for excellence
Ability to quickly and effectively learn and explore new topics, identify knowledge sources and understand new technologies, markets and concepts independently
Excellent verbal, analytical, and written communication skills
Familiarity with web and social media content trends.
2+ Years experience in Management
What is going to earn you brownie points?
Familiarity with national or international policy proposals or frameworks for addressing harmful content online.
Familiarity with internet policy issues.
