    Job Title: Construction Project Manager

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of technical training and relevant job experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in utility construction estimating, project management, and supervision.
    • Preferred background includes experience as a trade laborer in the field.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills crucial for leading project teams effectively and fostering relationships with clients, architects, and engineers.
    • Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.

    Responsibilities:

    Estimating:

    • Collaborate with management to strategize project bidding and selection.
    • Review project plans and specifications, attending pre-bid meetings to assess scope and requirements.
    • Conduct material quantity takeoffs from project plans and prepare comprehensive estimates.
    • Determine unit prices based on project complexity, working conditions, productivity, and other pertinent factors.
    • Maintain detailed documentation for estimating purposes.
    • Evaluate material and subcontract bids for inclusion in project bids.
    • Prepare and submit project bids, providing initial job cost budgeting.
    • Assist in contract negotiations and administrative processes.
    • Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers throughout project lifecycle.
    • Participate in project meetings and manage project finances.
    • Generate change orders, payment applications, and other project-related documentation.
    • Resolve disputes and discrepancies as they arise.
    • Oversee project closeout procedures.

    Project Management:

    • Coordinate and execute estimating and bidding functions.
    • Manage overall project execution and develop business opportunities.
    • Provide on-site administrative and technical management.
    • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise suppliers, subcontractors, and employees.
    • Supervise construction effort to ensure adherence to design, budget, and schedule.
    • Plan and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, engineering, and quality control.
    • Provide technical assistance and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
    • Document violations and recommend corrective actions.
    • Ensure productivity, efficient resource utilization, and project performance.
