About the Company:

Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest Division, operator of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) for the U.S. Department of Energy is working to modernize existing legacy custom-built business information systems and is in search of a front-end developer with experience and expertise in the React JavaScript Framework.

PNNL has a portfolio of custom-built software systems. There is pipeline of functionality awaiting implementation of front-end user interfaces.

Qualifications for the position:

• Proven track record of developing professional, effortless user interfaces
• Experience and expertise with the React JavaScript Framework
• Experience consuming and providing web APIs and RESTful Web Services
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JSON
• Experience with DevOps, automated testing, and CI/CD tools and practices
• Knowledge and experience in applying software design patterns
• Knowledge of secure coding practices
• Experience developing complex software systems using industry best practices
• Experience with iterative development practices such as Agile Scrum
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically to deliver innovative solutions
• Exceptional communicator with both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Deliver results with highest level of professionalism and integrity

Technology Stack: ASP.NET, C#, and SQL

Duration of Contract: Hire – September 30th, 2020

Training before arriving to PNNL: The contractor will be required and successfully complete Cyber Security training prior to arriving at PNNL. This can be accomplished online through the PNNL Web Portal.

Citizenship: The contractor must be strictly a United States Citizen (no dual citizenship), living and working in the United States and agree to protect controlled unclassified information which will be stipulated in the contract.
