About the Company:

Our client is a leading renewable energy company empowering residential and commercial customers to reduce emissions and support clean energy through 100 percent renewable electricity. Their mission is to make clean energy accessible for everybody. They supply only clean renewable energy to customers, operating in eight states and the District of Columbia, bringing cleaner air closer to home. The company is a founding member of the Coalition for Community Solar Access, recently passed $1.5 million in total corporate donations to environmental and social impact organizations, and has been awarded the highest level of B Corp certification.

About You

We are looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our team of engineering team of 30+, helping them build robust platforms that support our mission to switch as many American homes and businesses to clean, renewable energy as possible.

Requirements

• You’ve led and managed technology/engineering teams of over 20 people.
• You’ve held a VP/CTO title at a start-up or a Director role at a larger company, and understand what best engineering practices truly are (and are able to implement them).
• You remain close enough to the technology, in that you can still communicate on a high level with other software engineers.
• You are passionate about software development, and keep up on the latest news &trends--you’ll be expected to use this knowledge to make architectural decisions.
• You’re passionate about working for a mission-driven company.

Technology

Our products are currently based on the MEAN Stack (Mongo, Express, React, Node), but we are not married to any of those technologies. This person will have the ability to make architectural decisions that will impact all of the engineering team.

P.S. This requires someone that's still hands on and will write code. This person will lead by example.
