    Job Description

    About the Program:
    As a participant in the Manufacturing Graduate Development Program, you will be led by subject matter experts giving you the opportunity to learn from the best in the glass business. The program is designed to provide development opportunities to grow future manufacturing leaders. You will be prepared for a successful and long-lasting career within our manufacturing areas through challenging opportunities while being supported by a structured learning environment.

    The ideal candidate will have earned a bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing Technology discipline with a graduation date of December 2023 to May 2024.

    The program duration is typically 18 months; during which you will receive education, experience, and exposure to areas such as:

    • Environmental Health and Safety
    • Quality
    • Batch & Furnace
    • Cold End/Inspection
    • Plant Engineering
    • Product & Mold Design
    • Job Change
    • Forehearth & Forming

    To be successful in this program, you should have:

    • Natural curiosity and willingness to learn
    • Desire to ultimately lead and develop a team of people
    • High level of motivation and ability to work independently
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to interact with all levels of the organization
    • Ability to adapt in fast-changing environment

    Typical Program Timeline:

    • Months 1-5 - Gain experience through exposure to various roles and operating procedures of the manufacturing facility.
    • Months 6-18 - You’ll work with our team to determine your specialty deep dive where you’ll receive in-depth training in your chosen area.
    • Program Conclusion - You will be prepared for a full-time assignment at one of our manufacturing plants in North America. This assignment will be determined based upon your education/experience, personal interest and the company needs.

    Qualifications

    • The desired degrees for this program include - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, Ceramic and Glass Engineering, Maintenance and Industrial Technology, and Operations Management
    • Ability to travel throughout North America during the program (financial assistance provided by O-I)
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
    • Targeted graduation date: _ December 2023 to May 2024_

    What we offer at O-I:

    Salary Range: The expected salary for this position is $70,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
