We are currently looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team.  The Staff Accountant will provide general accounting support within the Accounting Department to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Journal Entries as well as month end closing. AR, GL and month-end close. 

Responsibilities include:

• Reconcile bank accounts daily
• Prepare and make, using remote check scanner for manual checks received; process credit card payments through merchant services; input / apply cash receipts to invoices in ERP system
• Calculate royalties for licensed products
• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Backup AP position during time off or required assistance
• Review and monitor AR aging report weekly; initiate weekly customer follow-up calls or emails, is required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting minimum
• 3 – 5 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of MS Office and ERP; Oracle preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
