    Marketing Email Strategist

     

    The Marketing Email Strategist assists the Church Communication Department in creating and executing an email marketing strategy that is audience focused, unified with prophetic and audience needs and priorities.   As a member of a professional communication department, this person will interact with Church messaging and digital communication teams around the world, both contributing and receiving meaningful experience applicable to the communication field.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    •         Email marketing strategists spearhead the creation of email messages that align with the broader Church email strategy. This involves coordinating with department and global area office personnel, strategic ideation, writing creative briefs, and working closely with the Publishing Services Department personnel to design, create, and publish email messages.

     

    ·         Email marketing strategists work with the Church email manager to adapt strategies to align with the Church's content strategy to ensure audiences are receiving the right messages at the right time.

     

    ·         This position requires an understanding of email as a communication channel, experience in writing style and design appropriate for the platform and audience, some technical understanding of email tools and digital communication, ability to collaborate with stakeholders, and exceptional organization and project management skills.

     

    ·         Email marketing strategists will work with product managers and other subject matter experts at the Church and they themselves may manage some Church email subscriptions.

      

     

    Qualifications:

    ·         7 years Program and/or Project/Product Management experience

    ·         Minimum of 3 years of email marketing experience

    ·         Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or related field

    ·         Understands content strategy and has experience with email strategy

    ·         Strong writing, communication, and editing skills

    ·         Ability to follow directions and meet fast-paced deadlines

    ·         Planning, organizing, and time management skills

    ·         Strong attention to detail

    ·         Experience with Microsoft Office and similar applications.
