Role Summary
You’ll provide comprehensive OB/GYN care across the lifespan—new patient consults, preventive care, prenatal/ postpartum visits, and management of common gynecologic concerns. You’ll diagnose, treat, prescribe, and educate independently within scope, and collaborate with physicians for complex cases.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive histories, problem-focused visits, and preventive well-woman exams.
Perform physical exams and screenings; obtain and interpret Pap/HPV, STI, and other labs.
Order/interpret diagnostics (e.g., CBC/CMP, hCG, A1c, thyroid studies, urine cultures, ultrasounds) and develop evidence-based plans.
Manage common OB/GYN conditions: contraception counseling, abnormal bleeding, PCOS, endometriosis, pelvic pain, UTIs, vaginitis, menopause, prenatal concerns, postpartum care, lactation support.
Perform in-scope office procedures (as trained):
Pregnancy confirmation and early pregnancy management
IUD and implant (Nexplanon) insertion/removal
Endometrial biopsy; simple wound care; suture removal
Colposcopy (if experienced)
Provide timely referrals and coordinate care with MFM, radiology, pelvic floor PT, behavioral health, etc.
Deliver clear after-care instructions; engage patients and families in shared decision-making.
Maintain complete, accurate documentation in the EHR; close charts within [24–48] hours.
Support quality measures (Pap/HPV intervals, prenatal labs, immunizations, depression screening).
Participate in team huddles, case reviews, and process improvements (HIPAA/OSHA compliance included).
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing; Board-Certified NP (WHNP or FNP strongly preferred).
Unrestricted Georgia RN and APRN/NP license; prescriptive authority and active DEA.
5+ years of medical experience (women’s health/OB/GYN preferred).
Current BLS; NRP preferred if performing OB care.
Competence with IUD/implant services (or willingness to train).
Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
OB experience (prenatal, triage, postpartum) and/or colposcopy certification.
EHR proficiency (EPIC, templates, order sets).
Bilingual (e.g., Spanish) a plus.
