    Position Overview

    CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking an OB/GYN or Women's Health Physician to provide specialized gynecological and reproductive health services at a federal prison camp in Alderson, West Virginia. FPC Alderson is a minimum-security federal prison camp for female inmates in rural southeastern West Virginia, requiring healthcare providers with experience in women's health. You will deliver comprehensive women's health care including gynecological examinations, prenatal and postnatal care, contraception management, and reproductive health counseling for the female inmate population.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform comprehensive gynecological examinations, Pap smears, and breast health screenings
    • Manage prenatal care for pregnant inmates including high-risk pregnancy monitoring and delivery coordination
    • Provide postnatal care, lactation support, and postpartum health monitoring
    • Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions including fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and abnormal bleeding
    • Manage contraception counseling and family planning services
    • Coordinate with outside obstetric facilities for labor and delivery services
    • Screen for and manage sexually transmitted infections
    • Perform minor gynecological procedures within facility capabilities
    • Maintain clinical documentation per BOP standards

    Required Qualifications

    • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
    • Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or board eligible
    • Active, unrestricted West Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)
    • Active DEA registration
    • Current BLS and ACLS certification
    • U.S. citizenship required
    • Ability to pass federal background investigation

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with underserved or high-risk populations
    • Correctional healthcare experience
    • Familiarity with BOP prenatal care protocols

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Salary: $240,000 - $310,000 annually
