In Home Caregiver Part-time or Full time
Position Summary Position will be responsible for providing day to day in-home personal care to person served with mild or moderate intellectual disabilities. They will assist with daily living tasks as outlined by an Individual Program Plan (IPP)of the person served. These statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work involved for this job. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: - To provide training on behavioral, social independence and community involvement skills to person served with developmental disabilities. - May assist person served with their personal care needs as necessary to maintain hygiene. - Assist person served with all their household chores if necessary. - Assists in the implementation of Individual Program Plans. - Work all the assigned schedules, including but not limited to; arriving and departing on time, requesting time off in advance, and notifying supervisor of changes in your assigned work schedule - If and when working nightshifts will be responsible for and alert to person's served nighttime awakening and behaviors. - Attend regular contact meeting with direct supervisor. - Report any and all incidents, behaviors and occurrences immediately to the supervisor including incidents of possible abuse or neglect. - Ensures each individual's right are protected - Treats each person served with dignity and respect. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) - Highschool diploma or equivalent. - Hold a valid Californian driver's license in good standing; with insurance. - Applicant must be certified in First Aid and CPR by the first day of employment. - Must have fingerprint and criminal clearance prior to starting.
