    🔍 What You’ll Be Doing

    As our Lead Surgery Scheduler, you’ll be a key player in ensuring surgical procedures are efficiently and accurately scheduled across OCOM South and OCOM North. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing the master surgery schedule for both campuses

    • Handling incoming calls

    • Scheduling procedures via computer, managing both block and open times

    • Coordinating daily anesthesia coverage with OCOM North’s anesthesia group

    • Pre-registering patients and entering demographic/insurance information into Cerner

    • Communicating with departments regarding equipment needs, add-on cases, and missing documentation

    • Confirming surgeries with physician offices and anesthesia daily

    • Maintaining monthly case capture reports and projections

    • Verifying insurance when necessary and staying current on managed care contracts

    • Performing other related duties to support surgical operations and scheduling efficiency


    💡 What We’re Looking For

    • Preferred : Background as a scrub tech , RN , or previous surgery scheduler lead

    • Experience in scheduling surgeries in a healthcare setting

    • Knowledge of Cerner, insurance verification, and managed care contracts

    • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

    • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
