We are seeking two Youth Services Program Trainers (Program Analyst 2) to join our My Future My Choice Team (MFMC). This position provides technical support, coordination and training to ensure the My Future-My Choice Program is delivered with efficacy and is part of a comprehensive strategy to reduce rates of teen pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections, and sexual violence. Responsibilities associated with the role include development and delivery of curriculum trainings to teen leaders and adult facilitators, organizing and coordinating with internal and external partners specific to MFMC related events, recommending program improvements and revision of training materials as needed, providing consultation services to local program coordinators, monitoring of program outcomes and participating in program evaluation, and working with local coalitions and local school districts to provide technical assistance around the development of a comprehensive approach to youth sexual health. You will serve in one or more regions.

What you need to qualify
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program
OR
• Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

• Must have ability to use or learn excel for budget management and tracking.
• Must have the ability to use or learn Microsoft Suite for digital collaboration.
• Must have the ability to keep accurate records and utilize file maintenance procedures.
• Bilingual Spanish Encouraged/Preferred (One of Two position(s) is Encouraged, one is Preferred)
• Experience in sexual health education or related field.

Your duties at a glance
My Future-My Choice provides an age-appropriate sexuality education curriculum as an integral part of the health education content required by state standards. MFMC is a comprehensive, medically accurate, inclusive and trauma informed sexuality education curriculum to that meets the 6th grade and 8th grade requirements of Oregon's Health Education Standards, including Erin's Law and House Bill 2509. • Assessment and evaluation of training implementation
As a Youth Services Coordinator, you will:
• Work with local schools, school districts and health departments to ensure they understand program guidelines, requirements and protocols associated with grant funding.
• Develop and annually review content, practices, procedures, and training materials used by the teen leaders, classroom facilitators, program coordinators and classroom teachers.
• Collaborate with other state departments and community groups involved in youth sexual health activities such as the Oregon Youth Sexual Health Partnership and Sex Ed Steering Committee.
• Lead, coordinate and manage the statewide Teen Advisory Board (TAB), TAB mentor program and My Future-My Choice Advisory Group.
• Plan, coordinate and develop content for annual meetings and projects for the Teen Advisory Board and other MFMC related events.
• Coordinate and provide MFMC trainings (virtually/in-person) to teen leaders, classroom facilitators and program coordinators (4 – 8 hour trainings for up to 35 people).
• Collaborate with state partners and external contractors to provide skills-based training for teachers and youth serving professionals.
• Attend required grant trainings and conferences as needed. Some may require out-of-state travel or be virtual trainings.
• Monitor program implementation to ensure contract compliance from sites.
• Provide on-going technical assistance to all service providers, such as county health departments, school districts, and community-based organizations.
• Monitor and collect data from assigned counties for data base entry compliance.
• Present program information and disseminate data and published material to parents, coalition groups, civic organizations, advisory groups, school boards, conferences, individuals, and the media.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to federal partners and assist with quarterly requests for reimbursement of federal grant dollars.
• Conduct site visits during grant year to observe and evaluate local program operation.
• Conduct participant evaluations and assist with analyzing data to provide program recommendations.
• Participate in the MFMC program evaluation and data collection as required by federal grant requirements.
Working conditions
• Position involves overnight travel including periodic weekend and evening hours and occasional out-of-state travel. Travel is heaviest during the winter and spring and minimal during summer months. Travel expenses will have reimbursement dependent on factors per ODHS Travel Reimbursement Policies
• Frequent contact with other state departments local health departments and school district personnel.
• May also include meetings with school boards, Parent-Teacher Associations, County Commissioners, and local Adolescent Sexual Health Coalitions.
• Frequent driving to reach outlying areas during the fall, winter and spring months and which may be in undesirable weather conditions.
• This position must have a valid Oregon Drivers License or be able to provide an alternate method of transporting themselves and other equipment needed for the job.
• Able to lift and transport training equipment and materials up to 35 lbs. and move and rearrange classroom furniture.
