    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…

    • OEC Group is currently looking for an Accounting Assistant to join the Accounting department! We are open for Full Time and Part Time!
    • Our ideal candidate is an individual with around 1-3 years of relevant experience in the areas of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Collection and/or Bookkeeping.
    • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a huge plus!
    • Part Time position is based on part time schedule of 30 hours per week

    ABOUT THE POSITION Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

    • Manages all import documentation and data, tracing shipments, analyzing costs and matching/ processing Accounts Payable related invoices and reports.
    • Complies and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
    • Verifies and posts detail of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
    • Audits invoices against purchase orders, researchers discrepancies, and approves for payment.
    • Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
    • Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.
    • Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
    • Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers.
    • Extracts general ledger information.
    • Complies cost reports and revenue and balance sheets.
    • Reconciles bank statements.
    • Monitor loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.

    • Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
    • Codes data for input to financial data processing system per company procedures.
    • Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
    • Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.

    WORK SCHEDULE

    Seattle Office 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (PST)

    Part Time position is based on part time schedule of 30 hours per week

    EDUCATION:

    It is preferred that the candidate has an Bachelor’s degree and/or 1-3 years of relevant experience.

    • Candidates with an educational background related to Finance or Accounting is a plus
