WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…

• OEC Group is currently looking for candidates who possess a background in freight forwarding, with superior communication, organization and analytical skills. The candidate hired for this role must have the ability to work in a team environment and is eager to make process improvements.
• The Logistics Analyst will assist and work cooperatively with Sr. Business Analysts to accomplish department goals and other subject matter by gathering, validating and documenting various system information and needs.
• Experience using Cargowise is a huge plus! 
• *PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE WILL BE ONSITE IN OUR ROSEDALE, NY HEADQUARTERS FOR TRAINING PURPOSES, NO REMOTE TRAINING CAPABILITIES AT THIS TIME.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Evaluate business processes, identify needs, and develop strategies to maximize opportunities.
• Work with business, IT and test systems; and create required documentation and manuals.
• Interact with developers, stakeholders, system architects, and various subject experts.
• Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Implement new features or make performance improvements to keep software up-to-date in a changing, competitive environment.
• Determine and access the desirability of a business opportunity

WORK SCHEDULE

New York Office 9:00 am – 6:00 pm EST

QUALIFICATIONS

• _2+ YEARS OF FREIGHT FORWARDING EXPERIENCE _
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, logical and analytical. Always looking for creative ways to solve a problem.
• Able to work well in teams. 
• Inquisitive nature, eager to learn new things, asks thoughtful questions to promote understanding.
• Improvement minded and always looking to increase efficiency.
• Great analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
• Experience with detailed research and recording.
• Knowledge of organizing and managing large amounts of data.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or other related field.

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Highly skilled in Excel, Word and other word processing software programs.
