Position Summary:
Projects a positive company image and shares the company's story through coordination, attendance, and participation in community services, social services and related functions which include educational programs and group presentations for schools and civic groups.
Primary Duties:
- Coordinate and conduct presentations of programs for school and civic groups pertaining to the electric industry, community development and safety education.
- Participate in social service organizations and community activities.
- Maintain active involvement in the community and social service agencies by serving on boards, roundtables and committees, conducting school Safety and Partner-in-Education programs.
- Coordinate and present social service programs.
- Perform various community centric duties such as: assist in resolving customer's utility related problems, identify customers for Third Party Notification, coordinate distribution of educational and company materials.
- Coordinate and conduct Community Stakeholder meetings; develop and maintain relationships with key leaders and stake holders in assigned geographic areas. Assist with coordination of franchise election activities.
- Lead local area efforts for volunteer opportunities and participation.
- Provide district support for storm situations, United Way efforts and award banquets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and Five (5) years directly related experience, (e.g. communications, marketing, economic development, social service agency, non-profit and/or volunteer project coordination, public relations, community outreach)
- High School diploma or GED equivalent and nine (9) years' experience working in communications, marketing, economic development, social service agency, non-profit and/or volunteer project coordination, public relations, community outreach.
- Valid state driver's license.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Public Administration, Public Relations or Marketing.
- Eight (8) years directly related experience. (e.g. communications, marketing, economic development, social service agency, non-profit and/or volunteer project coordination, public relations, community outreach)
- Experience managing a budget having direct budget accountability
- Strong Excel skills; utilizing spreadsheets for budget information and tracking

- Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing with members at all levels throughout the organization and outside professionals.
- Excellent presentation skills with demonstrated ability to present complex information in a clear, concise and understandable manner.

Working Conditions:
- May require extensive travel.
- May be required to work overtime and weekends and holidays.
- May require participation in meetings and activities outside of normal working hours.
- May require use of personal vehicle to perform job duties. Vehicle must be able to accommodate materials and supplies.
- May occasionally require lifting up to 25 pounds when performing Safety programs or delivering materials to schools.
THE POSITION IS LOCATED IN ENID AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SERVING WOODWARD, ALFALFA, GRANT, GARFIELD, KINGFISHER, MAJOR AND NOBLE COUNTIES AS WELL AS PARTS OF BLAINE, DEWEY AND ELLIS AND KAY COUNTIES.
