  • Responsibilities

    Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a full-time Structural Engineer in our San Bernardino or Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design projects and performing complex planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of railroad and transportation projects. We are looking for someone with great communication skills, and fluent in Spanish, who enjoys being part of a team performing office and field work. 

     

    Regular job duties include design and detailing of concrete and steel girder bridges, retaining walls, and cast-in-place concrete structures, in addition to performing structural field inspection. Candidate must be able to perform complex engineering tasks accurately, extract engineering information from CAD drawings, and complete a variety of assignments such as developing drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Design experience with railroad agencies preferred. The candidate must have a professional, yet personable demeanor.     SOFTWARE:

    • AutoCAD
    • MicroStation
    • Microsoft Office software
    • MathCad
    • Conspan (or other PPC analysis program)
    • RISA 3D
    • SAP2000 or other Non-linear analysis program

     

     

    Required Experience

    • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
    • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred
    • 4 or more years of experience in structural design
    • Passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
    • Professional Engineer registration in California is preferred
    • Bilingual candidates preferred
