Position Summary:
Manages the design and construction of generation, transmission, substation, and distribution projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Performs project management activities including managing project budgets, creating and maintaining project schedules, managing project scopes, managing project risks, monitoring and tracking projects, and reporting project status. Ensures project safety, compliance with the AFE policy, and effective communications and coordination with customers, key stakeholders, and management.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible for the oversight of, design, construction, and commissioning of small to moderate projects.
- Typically manage projects up to $150,000 with lower complexity and risk (A projects). Lower complexity projects could include quality/reliability issues to customers, some financial risk, some self-perform/oversight required, some siting and land acquisition, minimal environmental/regulatory permitting, and/or multiple configuration changes.
- Projects typically involve 1-2 disciplines or asset types (e.g. distribution, transmission, substation, controls, communication, boiler, turbine, etc.).
- May develop project management plans that include project scope verification, project schedules, timelines, milestones, budget estimates.
- Develops timetables and priorities for the execution of all design and construction activities of the project.
- Collaborates with project management, planning, land management, design, construction, operations, resource coordination, and supply chain personnel.
- Evaluates need for contract assistance.
- Ensures complete and timely project closeout including after-action reviews to achieve continuous improvement.
- May assist project manager on large projects.
- Explains basic engineering and construction requirements to customer, including Right of Way requirements, clearance, payments, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management; Or .
- Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or Construction Management. And 4 years of related experience (e.g., Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations);.
- High School Diploma/GED And 6 years related experience (Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or Utility Operations)..
- Valid State Driver's License.

- Demonstrate ability to build positive customer relationships through face to face engagement
- Used CADDS as a part of job function in previous 5 years
- Used Arc FM as a part of job function in previous 5 years
- Used Okie Locate as a part of job function in previous 5 years
- Used Sap as a part of job function in previous 5 years
Engaged in face to face communication with OGE customers regarding installation/relocation of OGE facilities

- Computer skills with ability to use application software including SAP, CCS, CRTS, ArcFM, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment including computer work.
- Outdoor work environment requiring ability to traverse rough terrain, be exposed to inclement weather, and wear PPE.
- Required to work non-standard (evenings & weekend) hours to accommodate customers and extensive hours to meet deadlines.
- Required to travel to Company offices and work sites including overnight trips.
