JOB DESCRIPTION:
A Genesis Sales Representative has a variety of responsibilities, ranging from meeting, greeting and prospecting customers to identifying appropriate inventory, negotiating sales prices, and handling contracts. The primary responsibility of a Genesis Sales Representative is to sell/lease new and used vehicles, which requires quickly determining a customer’s needs and requirements, competently guiding the prospective customer through available vehicle inventory, and utilizing effective sales closing techniques. A Genesis Sales Representative must have a thorough knowledge of vehicle models sold by dealership and must be able to negotiate and adeptly convey and discuss vehicle characteristics, pricing, warranties, etc.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• high school diploma or GED • demonstrate subject matter expertise
• prior sales experience a plus • basic understanding of vehicle financing
• professional appearance and disposition • productivity through time management
• strong communication skills; listening • comfort utilizing sales closing techniques
• effective relationship-building skills • post-sale relationship management
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understands automobiles sold by dealership by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; compares and contrasts competitive models
• Qualifies buyers by understanding prospective customers’ requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport
• Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; test drives with customers; explaining vehicle warranties and services
• Closes sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price
• Develops customer base by maintaining rapport with previous customers; suggesting trade-ins; meeting prospects at community activities; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions
• Provides sales management information by completing reports
• Updates job requirements and vehicle brand knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
• Enhances dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

• Lift / Maneuver: frequently lift and/or move from 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds
• Sight / Speech: specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; speak and communicate, both over the phone and in-person, with customers and fellow employee

• Work Environment: Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and chemicals. Employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and combustibles. Workplace noise exposure levels can be loud at times, which will require employee to use hearing protection in order to protect against a reduction or significant loss of hearing.

In addition to a fast-paced working environment, employee will: regularly work 45-50 hours per week; regularly work Saturdays and occasionally during evening hours; and occasionally travel between dealership locations as needed.
