    ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Understand automobiles sold by dealership by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; compare and contrast competitive models • Qualify buyers by understanding prospective customers’ requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport • Demonstrate operation of automobiles in the showroom by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; test drive automobile with customers; explain automobile warranties and services • Close sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price • Provide new automobiles to customers through established delivery process, ensure that the customer understands the automobile’s operating features, warranty and all paperwork • Maintain an owner follow up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction, loyalty and long-term clientele including; suggesting trade-ins; meeting prospects at community activities; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; recommending sales campaigns and promotions • Provide sales management information by completing reports • Update job requirements and vehicle brand knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications • Enhances dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by corporate management QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent • Valid California driver’s license and insurable • Able to acquire California Car Salesperson license • Previous sales experience a plus • Basic understanding of vehicle financing • ADP/CDK experience a plus • Knowledge of Dealersocket CRM preferred • Effective relationship-building skills including post sale relationship management skills • Demonstrate subject matter expertise • Effective communication skills in dealing with customers, employees, and business partners; ability to communicate enthusiasm for vehicle brands; excellent customer service, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills, ability to work as a team and with minimal supervision • Flexible and ability to adapt to the demands of business needs PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
