    We are an innovative practice active in many cutting-edge clinical trials and research, while also specializing in premium cataract surgery and glaucoma surgery, as well as all aspects of general eye care. Our ophthalmologists are fellowship trained and our optometrists are residency trained and all are active key opinion leaders in ophthalmology and optometry, respectively.

    We are looking to hire a professional who shares our convictions and realizes that great patient care starts with a focused, cohesive team that is working toward the same goals; moreover, they must be a joyful, encouraging team member committed to loving and serving our patients.

    Requirements:

    The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for providing support to attending physicians for patient care including but not limited to: preparation of examination and treatment rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures.

    Other Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    Working with clinic team to help ensure an efficient clinic workflow is maintained.

    Coordinating with the physicians and Clinical Director regarding patient issues or needs.

    Resolving patient concerns, complaints, or questions.

    Maintaining certifications or working toward certification.

    Coordinating repairs or replacements of damaged equipment.

    Ensuring MIPs are being met and documentation supports coding.

    Assisting in cleaning duties, side work, and any non-workup duties as required within the clinic.

    Staying current on education to maintain training and maximum performance of job duties.

    Correct EMR usage and following HIPAA standards.

    Following all site-specific policies including attendance, dress code, ethics codes, etc.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    Position reports to Clinic Director and Physician/Founder CEO

    Working Conditions and Environmental/Physical Demands:

    Standing/walking 95% of the day to perform the essential job duties.

    Full body rotation (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, etc.)

    Ability to lift at least 20lbs.

    Communicating with others to exchange information.

    Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

    No adverse environmental conditions expected.

    Qualifications:

    High School degree or equivalent.

    Ophthalmic technician experience or certification preferred.

    Experience with Compulink a plus
