OLM Food Solutions in Milford, Iowa is currently looking for a full time Yard Truck Driver to join our growing team!

The Yard Truck Driver is responsible for the trailers on the lot ensuring the temperature inside can sustain the product being stored. Performs special functions within the Transportation Department as assigned by management.

Essential Functions:

• Checks hub and reefer hours.
• Shuttles equipment to and from service provider.
• Monitor Reefer Maintenance schedules and Federal DOT Inspections, as well Fluid levels on OLM Food Solutions owned Reefer storage trailers.
• Communicate with loading, warehouse and production on trailer movement.
• Ensure the service provider is aware of equipment maintenance issues and notify transportation manager is aware of completion.
• Fixes equipment as needed (i.e. carts, loud locks, cords and other miscellaneous items as needed).
• Responsible for monitoring fuel consumption at plant to include fueling trailers daily, ordering fuel and completing a weekly fuel report on consumption.
• Checks trailers daily to ensure they are running and cooling properly. Ensures trailers have been washed out and pre-cooled prior to loading. Verifies Transportation Manager has an accurate report of loaded and emptied trailers on the lot. Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

• Education and/or Experience. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of two years accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a CDL-A license.
• Communication/Language Skills. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must. Ability to read and comprehend documents, simple instructions and product labels.
• Technical Competencies. Experience & knowledge in MS Office products (Excel, Access & Word) and SAP preferred.
• Mathematical Skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts along with performing basic math functions.
• Reasoning Abilities. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities.
