DESCRIPTION

The Medical Scribe will work under direct supervision of the physician and will transcribe patient medical reports and data with the overall objective for documentation legibility and thoroughness. The Medical Scribe will accompany the physician throughout the patient experience and will transcribe patient medical history, tests ordered by the physician, and any lab/test results.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years education in a healthcare related field. NURSING STUDENTS AND PRE-MED STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY! 

This position will consist of a rotating 12 hour shift; nights and some weekends required. Pay commensurate with experience.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years education (college/university) in a healthcare related field
• Medical terminology preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational, reasoning, and problem-solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS

• Exceptional listening and transcription skills
• Positive, warm and friendly personality
• Eager to learn
• Perceptive of non-verbal cues by physicians and patients
