    Hospitality Health ER is a freestanding ER in Longview, TX. We have an immediate need for Full-Time and PRN (as needed) Overnight Health Unit Coordinators (HUC) .     The Health Unit Coordinator will work 10-12 hour shifts and applicants must have the availability to work a matrix schedule - up to 4 shifts per week

    ****Position Goals for the Health Unit Coordinator

    The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) at Hospitality Health ER under direct supervision of the HUC Supervisor, will primarily help with the flow of the unit.

    Position Responsibilities for the Health Unit Coordinator

    Under the direction of the HUC Supervisor, the HUC at Hospitality Health ER will be responsible for, but not limited to:

    • Assisting with the flow of the unit by checking status of orders
    • Overseeing transfer of patients
    • Assuring chart placements are correct
    • Assisting nursing staff with patient transcribing and other unit duties
    • Transcribing data with the overall objective for documentation legibility and thoroughness
    • Meeting and maintaining the guiding principles of care for Hospitality Health ER
    • Assisting in carrying out orders by physician accurately and efficiently
    • Showing initiative and self-direction in providing physician support as needed
    • Communicating appropriately with patients, visitors, and co-workers
    • Any other duties as assigned and approved by the Facility Administrator

    Position Requirements for the Health Unit Coordinator

    ****The requirements for employment as the Health Unit Coordinator with Hospitality Health ER are:

    • Experience in health-related fields
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Successful completion of clinical orientation with proven capabilities in skill, knowledge base and vision of Hospitality Health Emergency Room
    • Always looking for ways to help flow efficiently
    • To take initiative, doesn't need to be asked to perform task
    • Maintains skill level by continuing education, collaborative training with co-workers and physicians and annual checkoffs.

    Physical Demands for the Health Unit Coordinator

    • Requires full range of body motion
    • Eye-hand coordination
    • Standing and walking for extensive period of time
    • Pushing and pulling
    • Climbing (ascending and descending)
    • Bending / Stooping
    • Using arm, leg and back muscles for extended periods
    • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing greater than 50 pounds
    • Requires corrected vision and hearing to within normal range
    • Requires working under stressful conditions
    • Working irregular hours
    • Working with hazardous chemicals
    • Potential for cuts and bruises
    • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids
    • Must be able to handle patient emergencies and other unusual incidents

    **Pay & Benefits **

    • Hourly position with shift differential paid for hours worked between 7 PM and 7 AM
    • 401K is offered after 90 days of employment to all eligible employees
