    Description

    Hospitality Health ER has a part-time opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at our facility on Seawall Blvd. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing upkeep tasks to include scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for applying basic repairs to inside and outside facility, including equipment and building systems. The Maintenance Technician may be required to drive company vehicle in support of task needs.

    The ideal candidate will have HVAC and some electrical experience and will reside within a short commute from the facility in order to respond timely in emergency repair situations.

    Duties and Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician

    • Responsible for the completion of all maintenance work orders as assigned
    • Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled
    • Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance
    • Install appliances and equipment
    • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, paint, minor plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, minor HVAC
    • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
    • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
    • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations and construction projects
    • Assists in planning, coordinating and executing construction projects
    • Work with vendors to maintain appearance of facility
    • Maintains a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies
    • Other responsibilities as assigned

    Requirements ** for the Maintenance Technician**

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • 1-2 years of related experience
    • Experience with painting, drywall and general unit make ready
    • Basic Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
    • Experience using hand and electric tools
    • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
    • Very good communication and interpersonal skills

    Requirements ** for the Maintenance Technician(continued)**

    • Physical stamina and dexterity
    • Must have a valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record that meets our insurance standards.
    • All offers of employment are contingent upon a satisfactory background check and drug screening.

    Physical Demands for the Maintenance Technician

    • Requires full range of body motion
    • Eye-hand coordination
    • Standing and walking for extensive period of time
    • Pushing and pulling
    • Climbing (ascending and descending)
    • Bending / Stooping
    • Using arm, leg and back muscles for extended periods
    • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing greater than 50 pounds
    • Requires corrected vision and hearing to within normal range
    • Requires working under stressful conditions
    • Working irregular hours
    • Working with hazardous chemicals
    • Working outdoors with potential exposure to elements such as precipitation and wind
    • Potential for cuts and bruises
    • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids

    Pay & Benefits

    • This is a part time position
    • Pay is commensurate with experience
    • 401k is offered after 90 days of employment to all eligible employees
