ROLE: SR. RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER

LOCATION: IRVINE, CA  ( REMOTE DURING COVID)

POSITION: CONTRACT, CONTRACT TO HIRE , FULL TIME

JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, a solid understanding of applicable analytics, and a natural curiosity for producing effective solutions. This person is patient, has excellent time-management skills, and practices of effective communication style.

RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing and developing new web applications.
• Understand, Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications.
• Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code.
• PROPOSING SOLUTIONS TO STREAMLINE THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS WHERE EVER REQUIRED
• INTERACTING WITH CLIENT, CROSS VENDORS AND COMMUNICATING, GUIDING OFFSHORE (ROR DEV) TEAM
• Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
• Connecting applications with additional web servers.
• Maintaining APIs, TDD.

RUBY ON RAILS DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Design & Development of Web Applications using Ruby on Rails
• Hands on experience with libraries like RSpec, RuboCop, FeatureSpec, Sidekiq
• Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github.
• Hands on experience with AWS, Docker, Capistrano.
• Strong experience with front-end technologies HTML5, Bootstrap, JQuery
• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM.
• Knowledge of server-side templating languages like Slim, Haml and ReactJS
