    PATH is currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of the EASTERN EUROPE & CENTRAL ASIA HUB. The Finance Assistant is responsible for assisting with much of the day-to-day activities and responsibilities related to financial operations and accounting. This position will report to the Hub Director of Finance and Administration.

     

    This position is funded through September 30, 2024. Employment after that date is subject to the availability of funds.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Register daily financial operations in Business World.

    • Execute OFAC checks.

    • Enter bank payments and submit for required approvals.

    • Obtain required approvals through DocuSign, hand signatures, or in other required formats.

    • Filling out primary documents for consultants, checking if all documents comply with PATH policies, and making entries to Salesforce. Manage consultant`s deliverables.

    • Assist with financial reporting to PATH HQ and Ukrainian authorities.

    • Assist with documenting procurement of goods and services.

    • Develop a strong working knowledge of the hub teams and proactively advise leaders on financial issues.

    • Perform other tasks as assigned.

    • Travel as requested by PATH to project sites.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • A degree in economics, finance, and accounting.

    • Experience in a global nonprofit organization.

    • Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word and Outlook.

    • Experience with Business World and Salesforce.

    • Knowledge of consultant’s engagement according to Ukrainian legislation.

    • Ability to work and communicate effectively remotely.

    • Demonstrated experience with procurement procedures and processes. 

    • Fluent Ukrainian, both verbally and in writing.

    • Command in English is a plus.

  • Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of similar work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
    • Ability to read, understand and follow written specifications, blueprints or schematics.
