    Overview: Management Science Associates, Inc., (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking an Information Systems Analyst in our Corporate IT division who will play a central role in the operation of workloads on public cloud platforms (primarily AWS), in accordance with the security, availability, and compliance requirements of our diverse portfolio of applications. A successful Information Systems Analyst will work hands-on across MSA's corporate divisions, providing teams with the support they need to build and operate their applications in the cloud.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop strong working relationships with MSA's corporate divisions, serving as application teams' primary resource for guidance regarding cloud workloads (e.g., migrating workloads or launching new applications in the cloud), and assisting with the troubleshooting of cloud-based applications and DevOps processes whenever needed.
    • Build networking, security, and cost optimization mechanisms that provide MSA's divisions with a strong foundation to deploy and operate well-architected applications on public cloud platforms (largely AWS).
    • Design, implement, and regularly audit compliance with governance controls that help ensure cloud-based applications are efficiently and securely operated while ensuring application teams' autonomy on cloud platforms.
    • Create reusable reference architectures/best practices for frequently used cloud resources and 3rd-party tools that are commonly run in the cloud, using infrastructure as code tools like AWS CloudFormation.
    • Automate build and deployment processes, as well as common cloud administration and maintenance tasks (e.g., instance patching, removal of unused resources, tagging, etc.)
    • Monitor AWS announcements and news to stay up to date with new AWS services and features and communicate relevant news to impacted MSA business units.
    • Continually explore new services, tools, and architectures that may prove useful to MSA's applications.
    • Leverage relationships with MSA's cloud services vendors for architectural guidance, training, and other assistance whenever needed.

    Required Skills

    • Four-year degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent experience learning information technology concepts, plus knowledge of servers, systems administration and Microsoft based operating systems
    • AWS certification desired
    • Minimum of two years’ related experience including experience with AWS
    • Broad understanding of the AWS ecosystem, especially EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC, as well as management and governance services such as Control Tower, Organizations, Config, and CloudTrail.
    • Experience with AWS Lambda and a scripting language like Python or Node.js
    • Familiarity with an infrastructure as code tool like AWS CloudFormation
    • Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices
    • Customer service skills including good written and oral communication, documentation details, organization, follow-through, deadline awareness and responsiveness
    • Troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently as well as with others to solve complex system related issues
    • Must be a team player with the capabilities to lead when needed
    • Prior experience with Azure DevOps and VMWare CloudHealth is a plus
