OVERVIEW: Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for nearly half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are currently seeking a Data Quality Analyst to work within MSA’s IT/OPS division which works with market-leading client companies to address their most challenging business issues and opportunities.
The individual selected for this exciting opportunity will analyze and report on key data quality metrics by identifying and accessing relevant data sources and reports, aggregating and manipulating data as needed, preparing graphs and tables from data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data and reported measures, and submitting tickets to appropriate groups for corrective action. In addition, this position will support data analysis and reporting needs of quality improvement projects across MSA's data sources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and identify data issues flagged on Data Quality reports or reported via clients, and work with team(s) for corrective action
- Conduct data analysis to identify and prioritize Data Quality issues and collaborate across various teams to conduct root cause analysis for issues identified
- Assist in the verification of data through internal systems and customer-facing portals
- Contribute to implementation and testing of Data Quality dashboards
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or related discipline that includes statistics, machine learning and advanced computational concepts and techniques
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with a high degree of proficiency working with tables of information
- Communication skills, both written and oral
- Data mining and manipulations skills and knowledge
- Extreme attention to detail and incredible focus
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Technical skills with the ability to learn and work on multiple platforms
- Knowledge of database structure
- Basic MS Office applications
- Basic project management skills
- Basic time management skills
- Training in or exposure to Statistical Process Control
- High quality of work and attention to detail with the ability to organize work and projects
