POSITION SUMMARY
Assist Supervisor in managing the operational activities of the production floor to maximize productivity.
The group leader is an extension of the supervisor authority and responsible for managing employee’s daily goals and tasks and to ensure employees have the necessary tools to do the job.
Assist in checking and proper handling of all products to assure the final outcome is of highest quality and conforms to company specifications.
Assist in proper staffing and other personnel issues in area. i.e.: tool box talks or help communicate work schedules
Assist the supervisor in any project or assignment per their request
Perform pre-operational sanitation inspections daily in accordance with SSOP program
Daily tasks of filling in for absenteeism and/or training with both new hire and long term employees
Employee to be knowledgeable of all paperwork; both on-line paperwork and end of shift paperwork for the department.
Employee to assist Supervisor in monitoring of all HACCP and GMP issues to ensure compliance with both USDA regulations and company standards
Employee to development communications skills to be able to direct, support and discipline other employees working under them.
Employee to learn and understand all aspects of his Supervisors position so that he can replace him/her in their absence or promotion
Must be able to lift 25 pounds to change film on package machine
