Discover how to create environments that get people moving. With HealthFitness, you have the opportunity to step into a role as a part-time (2 hours/week) AQUATICS GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR at our hospital client site in Beaumont, TX. In this position, you will be responsible for providing fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members participating in Aquatic exercise classes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Provides individual and group exercise instruction; monitors participants’ safety and techniques to maximize effectiveness.
• Performs light Group Fitness maintenance responsibilities as needed; ensures equipment and studio meet standards.  Ensures personal and facility appearance meet standards.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS: 

• Current group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA or other nationally accredited specialty class certification required, such as through AEA.
• CPR/AED and First Aid or BLS certifications from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute required.
• Minimum 2+ year’s aquatic group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to motivate others.
