    Trustmark is currently seeking an Executive Director, Data & Analytics to join the team. This is a hybrid work arrangement position.

    Overview

    As informed by the VBS Strategy, partners with Voluntary Leaders to identify and deliver the strategic use of data to drive and enhance capabilities that enable the VBS Business strategy. Establishes and executes these roadmaps at the direction of VBS Sr. Leadership and in collaboration with other Trustmark Business Units and IT.

    Progress through the analytical continuum moving toward the development and implementation of predictive analytics while focusing on increasing business performance through the use of advance analytics in decision making and problem solving.

    Key Accountabilities

    • As informed by the VBS Business Strategy, partners with Voluntary leaders to identify and deliver Data & analytic capabilities required to meet business objectives surrounding growth and service. This includes assisting in analytics use cases to assist in solving business problems and challenges.
    • Develops and executes a data and analytics capability roadmap spanning 3 plus years into the future. Modifies the roadmap based on identifying new capabilities and supporting technologies in collaboration with IT and changing industry conditions.
    • Partners with Enterprise (Trustmark) leaders in identifying opportunities for implementation of shared enterprise data and analytic capabilities meeting similar business objectives
    • Establishes an analytical foundation for the future direction and effectiveness of VBS. Lead the development and implementation of analytic capabilities and solutions to provide insights, targeting and measurement support for VBS process areas.
    • Leads the on-going development of appropriate metrics and measurement methodologies for tracking outcomes, including industry best practice standards and benchmarking capabilities.
    • Establishes and enhances our ability to identify trends from multiple data points and sources. Provide recommendations on improving VBS customer experience and business results goals by identifying levers we can pull to drive performance using data and analytics.
    • Partners with IT to develop an appropriate data strategy for the business.

    Leadership

    • Provide thought leadership within Trustmark in the areas of data analytics; including but not limited to advanced analytics, data science and predictive analytics based on changing market conditions and evolving future customer and business needs.
    • Partners with all levels of Trustmark leadership in furthering the sharing of data and business analytics across all business units, moving the organization through the analytical maturity continuum in support of evolving customer and business needs.
    • Lead and build a team of analysts, including setting direction, providing feedback, managing performance, developing employees, and establishing the vision for this role supporting future VBS strategies.
    • Coach and mentor to build analytic capabilities and develop leader’s skills within VBS.
    • Key business leader for external data and analytic capability providers, ensuring those services continue to meet current and future business needs. Develop collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships and communicate regularly with key stakeholders, leadership, staff, shared services, and other business units.
    • Collaborates with business and IT leaders on benefit attainment from capability changes and updates.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 7 or more years related experience
    • Strong communicating, collaboration and influencing skills at all levels in the organization
    • Deep knowledge of data sources, tools and business drivers
    • Experience in utilizing data analytics to support business decisions
    • Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution skills
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and research skills
    • Demonstrated experience querying and analyzing complex data sets
    • Ability to apply more advanced analytical concepts to improve business outcomes.
    • Experience in developing use cases to drive analytic outcome testing
    • Experience in establishing and leading a data and analytics team
    • Experience in fostering cross-functional collaboration

    Preferred

    • Master’s Degree

  • Qualifications
    • Actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting
    • Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles
    • Aptitude for math, proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
    • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenge
