  • Responsibilities
    • Responsible for identifying and developing profitable incremental business opportunities.
    • Focuses externally on business development, setting new target markets and programs for incremental business.
    • Close new business deals. Achieve set sales targets by developing and implementing specific sales strategies.
    • Identify new leads and grow brand recognition utilizing traditional and innovative sales methodologies, including but not limited to call and email campaigns, trade shows, and industry events.
    • Identify and move potential prospects through the sales process, from needs assessment to contract signing, in a timely manner that aligns with the sales forecast.
    • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
    • Actively participates in the planning and development of refinements and enhancements to MSA-developed software in conjunction with clients and MSA teams
    • Maintain key client business relationships at client sales, marketing and partner organizations.
    • Leverages in-depth understanding of client needs and MSA’s core competencies.
    • Develop, execute and maintan strategic marketing plans.
    • Produces marketing materials.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by self-initiated education including but not limited to, reviewing industry publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in industry events and organizations.

    Required Skills

    • Requires a four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
    • Requires knowledge of new business venture operations to extend MSA reach beyond traditional business organizations.
    • At least eight years of experience in high-technology product and service sales including the development of target markets, effective prospecting, sales presentations and proposal development.  MBA degree may substitute for two years of experience
    • Advanced MS Office skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Explorer and MS Outlook calendar and email.
    • Ability to anticipate, identify and assist clients with articulating business needs and translate them into profitable MSA sales opportunities. 
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to relate to clients across all phases of the client life-cycle.
    • Proficient in strategic planning and tactical execution of sales and marketing plans.
    • Must be able to work within a collaborative team environment and clearly communicate objectives.
    • Industry knowledge and domain experience.
    • Must be able to communicate insights to clients in ways to make it easy for them to recognize value (ROI).
    • Ability to form and maintain relationships with senior members of an organization.
    • Ability to build new business and manage potential issues.
    • Demonstrate effective communication and marketing skills and ability to prepare and deliver formal high quality presentations
    • Ability to demonstrate MSA product(s) highlighting benefits of product(s) and differentiators to competitive products as related to prospects needs
    • Proven sales ability
    • Ability to develop, gain support for, execute and expand revenue-producing sales plans
    • Must be a self- starter, flexible and highly detailed oriented
    • Must be motivated and driven to succeed within the organization
