    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This role will be hybrid in our Irvington, NY office The EILEEN FISHER Direct to Consumer channel is the greatest expression of our brand vision. The DTC Buying Team plays a crucial role in bringing that vision to life through the product assortment. The DTC Buyer is responsible for growing the full-priced business online and in stores by curating a balanced DTC assortment, ensuring fabric, shape and proportion stories are meaningful and looks can be easily created. The ideal candidate will learn the brand and study the business and customer, spending time in stores and gaining an understanding of how to supplement the DTC assortment with elements that will grow our online business and our individual stores’ businesses and bring our concepts to life.

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • A key partner in creating the product strategies and assortments for EILEEN FISHER Direct to Consumer channels • Review budgets, receipts and SKU plans with the Planning team to ensure the proper product mix is created to meet customer needs and business goals • Partner closely with the DTC Digital Merchandising and DTC Planning Teams to buy appropriate quantities across the DTC channel as a whole • Collaborate to suggest product for Windows, Homepages, Emails, Direct Mail and Social • Responsible for partnering on receipt and SKU plans and adhering to budgets to maintain a healthy Open to Buy • Analyze and share monthly and seasonal on-order rollups during and after each buy • Analyze and share weekly and seasonal selling performance for EILEEN FISHER DTC channel and present takeaways on business. • Review data holistically to understand trends, including traffic, email and site data, CRM and marketing performance, and anecdotal store leader feedback to make sound decisions • Present DTC Buy as needed to internal teams and store leaders • Partner with Planning and other teams to assess inventory levels, participate in creating promotional cadence • Partner with the DTC Planning team on monthly store distros and tiering • Assist in organizing team workflow, timelines and meetings • Visit and speak with stores to gain an understanding of the location, space, the customer and develop relationships with store leaders

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelors Degree Required or equivalent experience

    • 5-10 years of related experience in the retail or wholesale apparel industry • Highly skilled at creating balanced product assortments • Ability to synthesize many data points to draw conclusions and easily summarize key takeaways • Can easily communicate what is driving our success and what to repeat and expand upon • Ability to think outside the box, creating new product strategies to grow the business • Excellent analytical and mathematical proficiency with strong business and financial analysis skills • High level of experience and proficiency in Excel • Ability to work in a collaborative environment • Ability to prioritize and handle competing priorities • Strong attention to detail • Strong communication skills

     

    The hiring salary range for this role is $80-95k/yr. dependent upon experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer competitive benefits including a generous clothing allowance and a wellness reimbursement program.

  • Qualifications

    Required Skills:

     

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

     

    • Four year college degree in business management, production operations management, agricultural science, food science or equivalent communication and analytical ability acquired through work experience 

    • At least two years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment. 

    • Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis and critical control points, lean manufacturing and other food safety, quality and manufacturing principles. 

    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees at all levels of the organization. 

    • Ability to work with employees at all levels and to motivate direct reports; specifically mentoring and coaching individuals and identifying short- and long-term development needs and providing appropriate support. 

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time using effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.

    • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications; specifically using Word to create and modify documents, Excel to record data and calculate results, and Outlook to communicate internally and externally
