  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for determining and implementing cost accounting procedures and methods for all aspects of the Supply Chain. Generates costing analysis reports on current and proposed products for customer pricing recommendations. Manages and maintains the ERP to meet the corporate guidelines.

    • Determine and implement cost accounting procedures and methods to achieve accurate costing data for use in sales, planning and supply chain operations.
    • Prepare monthly analyses and management reports to track actual supply chain costs compared to pricing and propose subsequent pricing or cost containment actions to manage these amounts.
    • Conduct routine and ad hoc analysis of all phases of costing activities which includes, but is not limited to, new product development, ongoing production costs, transportation, warehousing, customer prices and billing. Investigate and resolve discrepancies which may include changes to recipes, system standards, customer pricing or invoicing.
    • Participate with ERP implementation and be the subject matter expert for the Rose Packing supply chain processes related to the current and future ERP system.
    • Maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly pricing files and upload information to the ERP system as necessary. Distribute pricing data to appropriate individuals and customers.
    • Generate and assign system product numbers, maintain standards, approve all costing runs, and prepare monthly journal entries as needed.
    • Prepare the sales and cost of sales portion of the facility budget once volumes have been determined to ensure that the margin on meat and ingredients is similar to that in product pricing and that direct costs are in line with current processes.
    • Assist with inventory processes and work with auditors by verifying counts as necessary, directing resources on inventory processes and investigating unusual inventory activity and quantities.
    • This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    • BA/BS or equivalent is required.
    • In Accounting/Finance is preferred.

    Required Experience

    • 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred.
    • Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
    • Experience supervising staff is a plus.
    • MS Suite of products is a plus.
    • Experience working in SAP or similar ERP system.
    • Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
    • Work conditions are typical of an office environment.
    • This role does not require any domestic travel
    • Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds
    • Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
    • Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
