    OVERVIEW:  Management Science Associates, Inc., (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking an experienced Client Relationship Consultant to join the MSA Marketing Science Group (MSG) which has been offering data and insight solutions to the Consumer Package Goods industry since the early 1980s.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide clients with reports and respond to requests for complex ad hoc reports.  Conduct preliminary analysis of the data identifying trends, patterns and insights.  Explain reports, and respond to client questions.
    • Run reports and conduct preliminary analysis of data.  Identify trends, patterns, and insights.
    • Develop expertise in data analysis and the usage of the company’s analytical tools and capabilities
    • Work in collaboration with other team members to interpret standard and complex reports and point out relationships among data; raising strategic questions and offering insight.  Identify new reports and/or ways of looking at the data to help clients gain business insights.
    • Develop skills necessary to interact effectively with clients
    • Participate in client meetings and shadow Client Relationship Managers to develop a sound knowledge of partnership-building
    • Work with clients to understand business needs and present creative solutions to meet those needs.  Help clients understand and articulate their needs for data and link back to company services. 
    • Coordinate with Operations and other groups to resolve complex client problems, and improve levels of service to clients
    • Learn to recognize opportunities to expand the use of company services.  Participate in new business development activities by assisting in drafting proposals and in supporting projects such as pilot programs, and assisting in the enrollment process for new distributors.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing or related discipline, or equivalent experience

    • MBA or relevant Master's degree may substitute for up to two years of related experience

    • Minimum three years of related experience learning client marketing environments and developing seasoned client interaction skills

    • Ability to anticipate and identify client business needs and translate them into profitable company sales opportunities

    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to translate and present technical and analytical issues.  Ability to communicate and coordinate work across functional areas within the division.

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Effective time management skills

    • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

    • Advanced MS Office skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, MS Explorer and MS Outlook calendar and email

    • Strong analytical and organization skills

    • Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.

    • High degree of flexibility, motivation and drive

    • Ability to be self-directed in a fast-paced, high growth environment
