    PURPOSE:  Performs a variety of tasks to support the clinical and non-clinical aspects of the clinical operation under the direction of the clinic manager or his/her designee.

    REQUIREMENTS:  High School diploma or equivalent education with training/experience in a medical office environment.  Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.   Demonstrative effectiveness in conveying information both in writing and verbally. Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally.  High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.  Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

    SOME OF THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Escorts patients to and from the patient waiting, exam or surgical rooms.

    • Measures and records patients' basic vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respirations and other routine supportive patient care.

    • Aids medical staff in dressing/undressing patients, lifting patients to exam table, assisting in dressing wounds, etc.

    • Maintains safety and housekeeping standards such as prepping/cleaning patient rooms, equipment, etc. while adhering to but not limited to established infection control and OSHA protocols.

    • Performs general clerical support in scheduling, administrative tasks, answering phones, etc
