    LOCATION: 700 Ackerman Road, Columbus, Ohio 

    PURPOSE: Responsible for developing, writing and delivering report writing and business analytics services to support the revenue cycle decision-making processes of OSU Physicians, Inc. Job duties will include the identification, specification, writing, balancing and delivery of standard and custom reports. The position will primarily query Epic applications including, but not limited to, Resolute PB, Cadence, Prelude, Ambulatory, Inpatient and various clinical systems using the Epic Clarity tools, Crystal Reports and some Cognos Business Intelligence applications such as Report Studio, Analytics Studio, Metrics Manager and Powerplay.

    REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or Management Information Systems, or present an equivalent amount of schooling and work experience. A minimum 2-3 years of report writing and/or financial analytics, using SQLbased Business Intelligence tools is required. Must be experienced in working with report requests, including meeting with report requestors to resolve questions about pending report requests and developing appropriate balancing or reconciliation processes for developed reports. Experience with scorecard development, including integration of target and benchmark data sources is preferred. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills working with/resolving both user and technical issues. The ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, or as part of a team, with tight deadlines is required. EPIC certification is required (either upon employment acceptance or obtained within 6 months of employment in position).

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Triages user report requests from business customers by determining the necessary criteria to develop an effective report, determines appropriate reporting tools, and writes the report in conjunction with the input of the customer.
    • Performs testing and reconciliation on completed report products to ensure accuracy of reporting products while demonstrating knowledge of business influences that can affect reporting outcomes.
    • Builds and maintains an awareness of OSUP business decisions and utilization of source data systems that could affect the integrity and viability of current and future reports.
    • Coordinates reporting needs with internal database administrators to develop additional reporting data sources and enhanced reporting tools for customer self-service.
    • Participates in periodic meetings with customer community on reporting priorities, development of organizational reporting packages and coordination of future needs for business reporting.
    • Prepares and maintains documentation on completed reporting products.
    • Identifies, recommends, implements and monitors ongoing improvements to the reporting interests, patient access and revenue cycle processes of OSU Physicians, Inc.
    • Assists in training of internal customers on reporting tools and reporting products.
    • Other duties or special projects as assigned.
