    PURPOSE: Execute all assigned physician and ancillary template optimization requests to ensure the scheduling system meets all   guidelines. Functions as the liaison between the Capacity Management Office (CMO), Central Scheduling, IHIS, Cadence Team(s) and clinical department(s) for which they are assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS:  Associate's Degree in Business or related field, 2-3 years of medical office scheduling experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be knowledgeable of medical office operations and systems; adhere to guidelines regarding patient confidentiality. Must be competent and prepared to assist and/or cover for any member of the scheduling team. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing and verbally.  Must have excellent organizational skills.  High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations and establish effective working relationships with team members and others throughout the organization.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms.

    PREFERENCES:   Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field.  Experience with EPIC.  Current IHIS Superuser. EPIC Cadence Badge or Certification.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Under the direction of the CMO, performs business analysis, recommendations and ultimately implementation plans for initial template changes for the organization.
    2. Acts as the primary point of contact for communicating analysis, recommendations and changes with CMO, central scheduling, and department leadership.
    3. Acts as an IHIS Superuser.
    4. Processes, tracks and enters template requests for processing by the Cadence team.  Conducts quality review(s) of requests.
    5. Regularly analyzes access data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
    6. Evaluates and monitors ongoing template changes to ensure compliance with organizational directive(s).
    7. Supervises the day-to-day access availability for assigned groups utilizing prospective reporting metrics.  Recommends adjustments to templates to correct deficiencies or provider under-utilization.
    8. Ensures compliance with established CMO policies for utilization and scheduling which includes but is not limited to provider schedule blocking, wait-list, bumping and rescheduling, and referrals and recall work queues.  Initiates appropriate actions to correct any discrepancies.
    9. Maintains the divisional clinic assignment spreadsheet and clinic utilization spreadsheet.
    10. Provides education as needed to staff and physicians on organizational initiative(s).
    11. Assists leadership with the development and deployment of data gathering techniques, implementation plan(s) and subsequent revisions.
    12. Ability to perform functions using job-related software and systems.
    13. Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients.
    14. Other duties or special projects as assigned.
