    Medical Assistant

    Cedar Recovery Opioid Treatment Program is an outpatient treatment facility that

    employs an array of evidenced-based treatment modalities to provide an

    integrated model of care of medical, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to

    treat every patient’s individual needs and promote long-term sustainable recovery

    from substance use disorder. While Cedar Recovery provides care for all substance

    use disorders, it has a primary focus on treating opioid use disorder with

    medications such as Methadone, Buprenorphine and/or Naltrexone (MAT).

    The purpose of this position is to serve as a Medical Assistant for Cedar Recovery.

    The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Assists Medical Professionals with clinical prep including collection of lab

    specimens, patient UDS schedule, EKG, phlebotomy, admission data

    • Proficient computer manageability for scheduling and required

    documentation

    • Acts as support for the Office Coordinator and Patient Care Coordinator

    COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Effective Knowledge The ability to navigate and

    effectively use Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and EMR system

    • Accountability and Self-Management Accepts personal accountability for

    work and consequences

    • Works independently without day-to-day guidance from the supervisor

    • The ability to manage multiple projects that meet the standards of Cedar

    Recovery.

    • Teamwork and Leadership

    The ability to collaborate and work with colleagues to achieve the Cedar Recovery

    mission of solving the opioid epidemic and repairing our communities by

    providing addiction treatment services that work. Communication Successfully

    communicate with employees at all levels of the organization on a regular basis –

    including via face to face, email and other technologies utilized by Cedar

    Recovery.*

    • Respectfully communicate with vendors, suppliers, and pharmacy

    representatives.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $20 per hour
