Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and skilled Truck Drivers to join our team at Landstar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various routes and have exceptional communication skills.

***MUST HAVE VERIFIABLE OTR EXPERIENCE ***

1 year in the last 3 years

Or

2 years in the last 5 years

Landstar considers OTR as traveling thru 3 states or more.

Must have HAZMAT or be willing to get it.

***SHORT DUMP TRUCK EXPERIENCE DOES NOT COUNT. MUST BE TRACTOR TRAILER. ***

Percentage based pay starting at 35% for Solo, or 40% split for Team.

Majority drop/hook preloaded trailers.

1 week paid vacation after 1 year.

$2500 Solos and $5000 Teams

Duties

Operate and drive well maintained truck running with Landstar.

Ensure the safe transportation of freight to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, and file BOL’s to turn in monthly.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.

Skills

Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).

Strong knowledge of truck operation, maintenance, and safety regulations.

Excellent navigational skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.

Strong communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
